TheOasisCity LLC is our parent company. They created us to help explain to unemployed and under-employed people in the U.S., what they are doing that is causing them to continue to be unemployed.
To be hired by a company, 3 things are required. #1 A resume that shows your history which indicates that you can do the job. It gets you the interview. #2 A personality that is pleasant where you can work with people of different backgrounds, ethnicities, and age/gender/religion, as a team player and as a leader/role model. #3 A willingness to do the job and the work required to be a success that’s needed in this role. Like hours outside the norm, early or late, weekends, travel, and work ethic. Because you can be qualified and pleasant but if youre not will to arrive at the location on time, stay until the work done, and make sure the work is accurate, then no one wants to hire you.
Today’s companies will not provide honest feedback in this litigious world. Plus their Recruiters/HR workers are scared of providing feedback for fear of Glassdoor reviews by applicants when they are rejected. Because then the recruiter can become unemployed themselves when the company finds out that Joan the recruiter rejected a candidate who showed up late for an online video interview and in PJ’s or other unprofessional attire.
However on Glassdoor the candidate is going to say that its because of discrimination because they are a minority, disabled, too old, too young, over qualified, too expensive, too independent, etc.
We are here to tell candidates to put on their best appearance, be pleasant and cheerful, and ask questions about what’s important in the job and then provide examples of them doing those things.
That’s what gets people hired. Very Simple, but not easy to do.
